NEW ANDROID VERSION(ANDROID 9 PIE) AVAILABLE FOR INFINIX SMART 2 PRO

Infinix Mobility is one of the most popular smartphone brands not only in Kenya but in Africa at large. Like any other Android vendor, the Chinese company is also in a rush to roll out the new Android 9 Pie update to its devices before Android Q arrives in a few weeks’ time. To that effect, a new update is rolling out to the Infinix Smart 2 Pro that installs the latest Android 9 Pie to the device. The Pie update, as seen in the screengrab below, tags along a new XOS 4.5.0 custom skin, up from XOS 3.0.0 that debuted with the Smart 2 Pro back in 2018. It’s worth noting that the Smart 2 Pro update in question here was spotted in India, where this same phone is sold as Infinix Smart 2 (without the Pro moniker), so, technically, the update should begin rolling out to the Kenyan variant pretty soon, if it hasn’t arrived yet. APPLE TO REDUCE IPHONE PRICES

Apple’s iPhone revenue has plunged in the December quarter, and the company is ready to make some changes. According to CEO Tim Cook, Apple will reduce prices of the iPhone in markets where local currencies have weakened against the dollar. As we’ve gotten into January and assessed the macroeconomic condition in some of those markets, we’ve decided to go back to more commensurate with what our local prices were a year ago in hopes of helping the sales in those areas,” Cook told Reuters (via The Next Web). “If you’ve never bought an iPhone outside of the U.S., you may not be aware of just how staggering the price difference is. I’ve been pointing it out over and over and over — it’s hard to justify spending $1,760 for a maxed-out iPhone XS (UK pricing at launch) when the exact same model costs $1,349 in the U.S. And it’s even harder in a country like Hungary, where the price is even higher and the average customer’s purchasing power is far lower than in the U.S. Subscr...

2019 MERCEDES-BENZ CLS450: ATTITUDE ADJUSTER

-
Image
Mercedes-Benz has imbued its 2019 CLS with a holistic air of wellness that seems part yoga pants and part therapeutic massage, aswirl in scented air. It is as much lifestyle support as it is a car. But this third-generation model is such a thorough redesign that those returning to update a lease will step into a new experience. Among the firsts for the redesign is the brand’s return to an inline six-cylinder engine, which it abandoned in 1997 for a new V-6 line. The new six will find its way to other models as redesigns allow. The new 3.0-liter is not just any old stove-bolt six but a highly electrified and turbocharged engine that debuts a 48-volt electrical system with so-called EQ Boost, which integrates a hybridlike starter-generator, called ISG. Like a gasoline-electric hybrid, the motor assists the engine when accelerating and allows “sailing” when cruising without heavy acceleration. Sailing also pipes energy back into the battery for continued boost and to power the c...
