A Saudi Arabian app that can be used to track women and prevent them from travelling will be investigated by Apple, its chief executive has said. In an interview with NPR, Tim Cook said he wasn't aware of the Absher app but would look into it. The app, which offers access to government services, has been criticised by human rights groups. Democratic senator Ron Wyden has called for Apple and Google to remove it from their stores. Women in Saudi Arabia need to get permission to leave the country from a male guardian, usually a father or husband. Facebook has come out with a feature that lets you delete messages from a conversation after you’ve sent them, as previously spotted in leaks. So in case you send the wrong message to the wrong person or make an egregious typo, you’ll be able to remove it in Messenger now. It works when you tap on the message you want to delete within 10 minutes of sending it. Two options will appear: Remove for Everyone and Remove for You. Selecting Remove for Everyone replaces your message with text that the message has been removed by you. WhatsApp for iPhone has started receiving an important update with the release of their latest build version 2.19.20. The latest build update brings in the much awaited biometric authentication on WhatsApp for iOS. The new update now allows users to lock their WhatsApp application natively by using the Face ID or the Touch ID. The new authentication feature has been in the pipeline since October last year when the Face ID and Touch ID feature were added to the beta version of the social messaging application for the first time. The new feature locks the app in a similar way that Outlook or Signal locks their app on an iPhone. The locking feature, however, does not lock individual chat threads. About 180 million Canadian dollars ($137.21 million) in cryptocurrencies have been frozen in the user accounts of  Canadian  digital platform Quadriga after the founder, the only person with the password to gain access, died suddenly in December. Gerald Cotten died aged 30 from complications with Crohn's disease while volunteering at an orphanage in India, according to the  Facebook  page of Quadriga CX, which announced his death on Jan. 14. The platform, which allows the trading of  Bitcoin , Litecoin and Ethereum, filed for creditor protection in the Nova Scotia Supreme Court last week. Quadriga has 363,000 registered users and owes a total of 250 million Canadian dollars to 115,000 affected users, according to an affidavit filed by Cotten's widow Jennifer Robertson on behalf of the company.
